appliance zone scam

if you have 60A service, you probably have an old house. you probably need 220V for the dryer, and if the house is that old, you don't have 220V coming into your house.

also , there are a lot of surprises in old houses. things that are considered unsafe today. it might not be safe to install the dryer.

i would have an electrician give a free estimate.
but, i think he is going to tell you to upgrade.

how about a gas dryer ?

appliance zone phone number

I would definitely suggest an upgrade to at least 100A. Regular dryers need a 30A feed while a washer will need a dedicated 15A receptacle. Contact a registered electrician to do the job.

Do you live in a shack? Yeah, your dryer will draw over 20 amps @ 220v and your washer will draw 8-10 @120v. For a simple upgrade to 100 amp you can get by legally with #4 copper or #2 aluminum servace entrance wire.
