Has anyone ever been happy with Sears’ service on large appliances? In my opinion, their service SUCKS, and their customer service representatives are absolutely useless. I won’t ever purchase another appliance from Sears and would recommend to anyone considering making a major appliance purchase to choose a business other than Sears. Sure, they’re quick enough to take your money when you’re purchasing something but when you have problems with the item, they don’t want to be bothered. An entire week has gone by and I’m STILL waiting to have my refrigerator repaired! Sears’ service sucks, Sucks, SUCKS!!! BUYERS BEWARE!!!

Go to ApplianceZone and get your own parts instead..

sear’s service has always sucked, i know of several ppl who called concerning appliance problems and ran into the very same thing…their products are bad and their service is worse…file a complaint with the better business bureau…they can help.

Yes! My father bought a lawn mower/tractor and it was delivered UPSIDE DOWN and when he called to get it replaced, it was said that he had to pay 160 dollars for them to pick it up! Nevertheless, he got it replaced for free and got 10% off.

Yes, I am very happy with Sears service, I have always purchased Sears appliances until recently. Even more now, with Frigidaire factory service I was without a clothes washer for 6 weeks, initial 2 weeks for first visit, another two weeks for the second visit, with the wrong part, gave up after 6 weeks and the part was still not in, finally returned it to Lowe’s and got a replacement . With sears the initial visit was withing 7 days and they carry many parts on the truck, if a part was needed, they were back out within the second week and had it repaired. Two weeks is inconvenient but they seem to be better than other factory service. The best service is to buy from a independent dealer who services what they sell themselves, they want you to purchase from them in the future and go out of their way to accommodate you, in your case they would “lend” you a fridge while you wait for them to get a part.

The one thing that you should know, is that Sears offers a money back guaranty. If you are not satisfied with your purchase for whatever reason you can return the item. I don’t know how long you’ve had your refrigerator, but you should of returned it. You are not satisfied with the product. My husband bought a lawnmower, kept it all summer, didn’t like it, returned it. You might want to try returning it. Hope it goes well for you. I know what you mean about these Companies that take your money and don’t bother after the sale.

that’s what happens when we go the bigger is better way. there aren’t many independent repair guys left anymore. if you find one, use him. he needs the business, keeping you happy is important to his staying in business. sad to say, but that’s what is happening to all services in this country. people are going to home depot for roofing and siding and the guys that were any good are driven out and the ones that weren’t any good went to work there. so that’s the kind of work you’ll get. we have the power to spend wisely, use it or lose it!! happy holidays.

Why not use the services of your “local” appliance repair shop ? Check–ask around town. These guys can offer faster repairs on the whole, and lower charges than “factory trained” company guys. They are,in general,as capable as any other. Some will even let you use a “loaner”, if extended repairs are needed. Furthermore –they have more “elbow room” in working with you than a company man,on charges/payment, and you deal with him direct. Much better deal I believe. Try it — You might like it. Merry Christmas.
